Man Keeps Baby With Down Syndrome After Wife Abandoned Them

Samuel Forrest is from New Zealand but works and lives in Armenia, and his wife is also from Armenia. The couple recently had a baby and Sam was surprised when the baby was taken out of his wife's room soon after the birth. Hospital authorities wouldn't let the new dad see the baby or his wife  as was the custom in the country's hospitals when a child is born with Down's Syndrome.

Samuel did not understand all this until several minutes later when he was finally able to follow doctors and nurses into a room to meet his baby. That was when they told him that his son, whom he has now named Leo, had Down syndrome. Though the new dad had a few moments of shock, he got over it and when he held Leo for the very first time, he said, "he's beautiful -- he's perfect and I'm absolutely keeping him."

Man Who Lost All Four Limbs To Flesh Eating Bacteria Plans To Walk At Wedding

Alex Lewis, 34, was left fighting for his life when the normally harmless bacterial infection Group A Streptococcus, quickly turned critical, eating away at his flesh. He suffered multiple organ failure, septicaemia and toxic shock syndrome.

Alex survived but lost three limbs, part of his nose and his lips in the fight. Later, his remaining arm had to be amputated after surgery to save it failed. So now he's a quadruple amputee, but one who insisted on living the life he's won to the full.

‘Paralyzed’ Beggar Caught Running To Catch A Bus [Photos]

A beggar was exposed as a fraud after being caught walking. The beggar who claimed to be a paraplegic, was seen using a skateboard to get around Wenling, Zhejiang, China.

People helped the sad-looking man by giving him cash. The man managed to get the sympathy of many people who thought he was paralyzed from waist down. The man added some drama to his situation by playing soft music and pulling himself around on the skateboard.
